We have developed a new device based on a NEDO/Green Innovation Fund. This is a joint research with Rigaku and Taiheiyo Consultants. This instrument is capable of determining CO2 fixation in non-homogeneous materials such as concrete. With conventional analytical methods, it is necessary to measure a very small amount of sample, such as 20 mg for TG, and it is quite a hopeless task to homogenize concrete crushed powder.
It would take more than three days to vacuum dry the concrete, crush it into 100 µm under, and then homogenize it. Even then, homogeneity is not guaranteed.
The Φ10x20cm specimen can be directly measured by this machine.
What a surprise, it can quantify moisture content, CO2, and also show the TG and DTG data.
