In July 2025, Professor Ippei Maruyama of the University of Tokyo Graduate School participated in a panel discussion at the Annual Convention of the Japan Concrete Institute (JCI), held in Morioka.

The discussion, titled “Towards a Carbon-Neutral Society: Expectations for the Ready-Mixed Concrete Industry,” explored the role of the concrete industry in building a sustainable society, as well as the directions for technological innovation and policy development.
